Hacemos Cocina covers your first month of Tipi: how to sign up and what happens on day 31

Hacemos Cocina, Guía Repsol’s free platform for hospitality professionals, covers the first month of Tipi for anyone who registers. That month includes 100 delivery notes and does not ask for a card. If you want to stay, from the second month it is €39 + VAT a month, no lock-in. The quota is 150 licences and each account activates Tipi in a single venue.

Free often costs you. We’ve heard it at every bar, and it’s usually true.

The free trial that asks for your card on day one and charges you on day 31 without warning.

So we start at the end: what happens on day 31 is written here before you sign up.

What is Guía Repsol’s Hacemos Cocina?

Hacemos Cocina is Guía Repsol’s platform for people who keep a bar, restaurant, café or beach bar running.

It was presented in Santander on 26 November 2025 and combines in-person meetups across Spain with a digital platform of content, training and tools.

What happens when the free month ends?

You do not enter a card during the first month. When it ends, if you want to keep Tipi, you add a payment method and move to €39 + VAT a month, €47.19 with VAT.

If you do not add one, you are not charged. No lock-in and no penalty for leaving.

Two more things before you sign up.

You can only activate Tipi in one venue. If you have two sites, pick the one that worries you more, not the one that runs best.

The 100 delivery notes are the first-month pack. A venue that gets three or four delivery notes a day burns through them in about a month. Our estimate with a typical delivery pace, not a measured average. Anything beyond that is bought separately as credit.

Why Tipi is in Hacemos Cocina

This is written by Tipi, one of the tools on the platform. Take it for what it is: our side of the story, told by us.

Tipi was built so controlling a restaurant’s numbers stops being something only groups with a controller and a finance team can do. Hacemos Cocina was built to walk with hospitality operators day to day. We aim at the same thing from different places.

The price comes from the same maths you do with your menu.

An operator charges what the business needs to survive and keep living from what they love. Not a euro more than the dish can carry, not one less than it costs to make.

We apply the same rule. We did not set €39 to win a comparison chart. We set it because we do not believe anyone should be charged more than they need to.

If the product is worth it, use proves it, not the price. That Guía Repsol wanted us on their platform is the endorsement that weighs most on us.

Covering the first month is the most direct way we know to break the usual barrier: try it without risking cash.

How many operators can take advantage?

The quota is 150 licences. The platform says it has more than 4,000 active hospitality operators.

150 ÷ 4,000 = 3.75%. Fewer than 4 in 100 Hacemos Cocina users can activate the covered month.

Against the more than 300,000 hospitality venues in Spain, according to the Spanish Hospitality Yearbook, 150 licences are 0.05% of the sector.

This is not a campaign for the whole sector: it is a short run, and first come first served.

How to sign up and activate Tipi, step by step

Before you start, have the tax ID (CIF) and the venue address to hand. That is the only thing that can stop you halfway.

  1. Go to the Hacemos Cocina registration page and choose how to sign up: email, Apple, Google or Facebook.
  2. Fill in first name, last name, mobile and password. The password needs at least 8 characters, with upper case, lower case, a number and a symbol.
  3. Accept the legal terms. The discounts and offers checkbox is optional, and if you tick it you accept all the data processing it lists.
  4. Complete the venue details: name, CIF, address, postcode, municipality, venue type, your role and public phone. At the end you certify you are an authorised representative.
  5. Open the verification email and tap the link. If it does not arrive, check spam.
  6. Once inside, go to Tools, open Tipi and choose the venue.
  7. The first time you enter Tipi we ask for your mobile number, so we can call you and set up the first dishes with you.

Tipi runs in the browser on phone, tablet or computer. Nothing to install, only microphone permission, as explained on the Tipi page in Hacemos Cocina.

One month, ten dishes and an honest account

Say you run a set-menu bar and you spend the covered month on your ten best-selling dishes.

Cost of the month: €0.

One of those dishes you sell 15 times a day. When you cost it with the latest delivery-note prices, you see it leaves you €0.60 less per portion than you thought, because oil and protein have risen since you last did the maths.

€0.60 × 15 portions × 30 days = €270 a month that was leaving without you seeing it. Made-up numbers for the example, not any client’s result.

If you find something like that, staying costs €47.19 a month. If nothing shows up across your ten dishes, that is information too: your menu holds, and you leave without having paid.

If you have never done a dish cost, here is the method to calculate a dish cost from scratch.

Before the quota runs out

Ordered by what takes longest.

  1. Activate it now if you care. The quota is first come first served and will not wait until you have a free slot.
  2. Gather last week’s delivery notes from your main suppliers. Those are what update your dish prices.
  3. Pick the ten dishes you sell most. That is where a miscalculated cent multiplies by every portion.
  4. Put day 31 from sign-up in the calendar. That day you decide whether to stay, with numbers in front of you, not a gut feeling.

What we cannot promise

  1. We do not publish remaining licences. It changes with every sign-up, and any number we put today would be stale tomorrow.
  2. There is no published end date. If the 150 licences run out earlier, the offer ends earlier.
  3. The platform’s figures move. The active-operator counter shows more than 4,000 today. Another version of the same site showed more than 1,000. Neither carries a date or explains what counts as active.
  4. The meetups do not quite line up either. At launch they announced 15 to 20 a year. The site now talks about more than 24.

If you did not know this initiative yet and were unsure how to try Tipi, register on Hacemos Cocina and take the opportunity.

Free only gets expensive when you do not know what happens on day 31. Now you do.
